We highly recommend this German made Professional Luthier Polish for use on fine instruments that are older and/or highly valued. This polish is the original formula used for decades by the world's finest violin shops including the Shar Repair & Restoration Shop. The reason that the Professional Luthier Polish is the choice of fine restoration shops is because of its effectiveness as a polish while at the same time being mild enough not to cause damage to soft and/or delicate varnish. IMPORTANT: Some varnish is so delicate that even a very damp cloth will remove varnish, so we strongly advise players to follow the directions in our video "Cleaning an Instrument."
